Photo: One of the Escaped Osun Prison Inmates Arrested in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended Kabiru Oyedun, a 39-year-old fugitive who escaped from the Ilesa Correctional Centre in Osun State. He was captured on May 21 around 5:35 p.m. in the Oshin-Welder area of Ayobo, a suburb of Lagos, following a tip-off from vigilant members of the public.
According to sources at the Zone 2 Police Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, officers were swiftly deployed to the area and arrested the suspect without resistance. The Lagos State Comptroller of Corrections has been informed of the arrest and is expected to take custody of Oyedun before his transfer back to Osun State for further proceedings.
