PDP’s Pius Ashakia Emerges Victorious in Obanliku Rerun Election in Cross River
Honourable Pius Ashakia of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has emerged victorious in the Obanliku State Constituency rerun election in Cross River State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Dr Blessing Anyalebechi, officially declared Ashakia as the winner of the February 3, 2024, rerun election. The PDP candidate secured a substantial 10,587 votes, surpassing his closest contender, Mr Sunday Achunekang of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered a total of 10,427 votes.
