Pantami: May Allah Expose, Destroy the Killers of Gatawa District Head
Isa Pantami, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, has strongly condemned the killing of Isa Bawa, the district head of Gatawa in Sokoto State.
Bawa and his son were kidnapped on July 27, and news of his death in captivity was confirmed on Tuesday by Shuaibu Gobir, the Magaji of Gatawa.
In a statement posted on X, Pantami extended his condolences to Bawa’s family and the Gobir Emirate. He denounced the killing, allegedly perpetrated by bandits and kidnappers, as “brutal and inhuman.”
Pantami expressed profound sorrow and called for divine justice. “I write with a heavy heart to convey my heartfelt condolences to the family, the entire Gobir Emirate, and all those affected by the inhuman killing of His Highness Alhaji Isa Muhammad Bawa,” Pantami stated.
He prayed for forgiveness and mercy for the deceased and all victims of similar violence. Pantami also called on Allah to expose and destroy those responsible if they do not repent.
