Obosi Group Visits Engr. Eric Anyamene, Receives 115 Education Support Slots
Engr. Eric Nnamdi Anyamene, founder of the Eric Nnamdi Anyamene Foundation (ENAF), hosted members of the Obosi Urban Community Voters at his country home in Obosi, Anambra State. The delegation, led by Chief Uzomma Uboha, visited to engage him on the foundation’s activities and its impact within the community.
Welcoming the group, Engr. Anyamene introduced ENAF’s focus areas, which include humanitarian assistance, education support, and community development. He explained that the foundation works through existing community structures to ensure its programmes reach residents facing genuine financial and social challenges. “Our approach is to work with community leaders who understand the needs of their people,” he said. “This helps us direct support to those who truly require it.”
He highlighted several initiatives of the foundation, including the sponsorship of medical outreaches, seasonal distribution of food items such as rice to vulnerable households, payment for JAMB registration forms for students who cannot afford them, and scholarships for academically outstanding students from low-income backgrounds through to graduation.
As part of ENAF’s plan to support 1,000 candidates this year with free JAMB registration, Engr. Anyamene allocated 115 free JAMB form slots to the Obosi Urban Community Voters. He emphasised that the slots are strictly for students from families with verified financial constraints and urged the group to ensure transparency in the selection process. “These opportunities are meant for students who would otherwise miss out because of lack of funds,” he stated. “Fairness and accountability in the selection are very important.”
A current beneficiary of the foundation’s scholarship programme was introduced during the meeting and shared a brief account of how the support had enabled continued education. Following the meeting, Engr. Anyamene formally presented the 115 free JAMB forms to the group for onward distribution to eligible students.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Chief Uzomma Uboha commended Engr. Anyamene for the foundation’s efforts and pledged the group’s cooperation. “We appreciate this gesture towards our community, especially our young people,” he said. “We will ensure that the process is handled responsibly and reaches those it is intended for.”
