Notorious Terrorist Leaders, Including Kachalla, Eliminated in Military Operation
In a major triumph against terrorism, the Defence Headquarters has officially confirmed the successful elimination of four notorious terrorist commanders in a series of air strikes conducted within the past week.
The individuals targeted and neutralized include Machika, recognized as a top bomb expert and the younger brother of the notorious terrorist Dogo Gide, along with Haro and Dan Muhammadu, who were specialists in kidnapping and assault operations, respectively.
The Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, released a statement on Saturday in Abuja, providing details of the operation. The decisive strike, coordinated between air and ground forces on December 11, resulted in the demise of Ali Alhaji Alheri, widely known as Kachalla Ali Kawaje. Kachalla was a prominent terrorist leader responsible for the high-profile abduction of students from the Federal University Gusau in Zamfara.
The operation successfully neutralized Kachalla and many of his foot soldiers in Munya Local Government Area of Niger. Maj.-Gen. Buba emphasized that the military is intensifying efforts to track down other terrorist leaders, ensuring they face a similar fate.
Highlighting the effectiveness of recent military actions, Maj.-Gen. Buba reported that aggressive air flights targeted confirmed locations with active movements of terrorist commanders and their foot soldiers. These strikes resulted in the elimination of over 38 terrorist commanders and their foot soldiers, with an additional 159 individuals apprehended.
This significant development underscores the commitment of the military to eradicating terrorism and ensuring the safety of the nation. The Defence Headquarters remains resolute in its mission to bring an end to the activities of these notorious elements, signaling a crucial step forward in the ongoing fight against insurgency.
