“No PDP Member Should Endorse Tinubu for 2027” — Party Warns, Threatens Sanctions

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a stern warning to its members against endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027, vowing to impose stiff sanctions on those found engaging in such activities. In a statement released on Friday, the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) expressed concern over what it described as “anti-party activities” by certain members, particularly those publicly supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate.

Labeling the endorsements as a “serious threat” to party unity, the PDP issued a strong reprimand to those involved and urged them to “retrace their steps” or face disciplinary measures in line with the constitution. The NWC also called on members to remain loyal and committed to strengthening the party ahead of its national convention, scheduled for November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan.
