Nightmarish Intrusion: Kidnappers Storm Nigeria Post Army Estate in Abuja, Abduct Two
Kidnappers infiltrated the Nigeria Post Army estate in Abuja on Thursday night, seizing two individuals during their brazen operation.
The incident unfolded around 10:00 p.m. within the Phase 2 area of the estate. The assailants targeted the residence of Barrister Cyril Adikwu, making off with his wife and one of his in-laws.
Austine John, a neighbor to the victims, recounted the terrifying ordeal, stating, “It all started at about 10:00. We suddenly started hearing gunshots, and immediately we knew something was wrong. I quickly went out to make sure my gate was well locked.”
John continued, “Then we heard the gunshot in the barrister’s house, and then we alerted the estate’s management, who immediately swung into action. In a short time, army personnel arrived and started shooting too, but unfortunately, the kidnappers had already fled with the wife and in-law of the barrister.”
The unsettling incident left the community on edge, with residents unable to sleep throughout the night due to fear of a potential return by the kidnappers.
A plea was made to President Tinubu to take decisive action and put an end to such barbaric acts perpetrated by kidnappers. Further details on the incident are expected to be released soon.
