Nigerian Man Caught at Pakistan Airport with Cocaine-Filled Capsules in Stomach
The Pakistani Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested a Nigerian national at Lahore International Airport for attempting to smuggle cocaine. The individual, who arrived from Nigeria via Dubai, was found carrying 38 capsules filled with cocaine inside his stomach.
According to an ANF spokesperson, the capsules contained a total of 608 grams of cocaine. This arrest is part of a disturbing rise in drug smuggling cases involving foreign nationals. In 2023 alone, 10 Nigerian nationals were detained in similar incidents, with authorities seizing a total of 4.811 kilograms of narcotics. This year has seen a further escalation, with seven operations resulting in the arrest of eight Nigerians and the recovery of 11.420 kilograms of drugs.
The suspect now faces charges under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are ongoing to uncover further details of the smuggling network.
