Man Portraying Jesus Christ on Good Friday Hospitalised After Sustaining Injuries During Reenactment Beating
A second-year law student at Kampala International University has been hospitalized after sustaining injuries during a Good Friday reenactment in Uganda.
Dennis Zziwa was portraying Jesus Christ in the annual Way of the Cross procession held at Our Lady of Africa Church when he was injured. The incident occurred during intense scenes that involved simulated beatings as part of the performance.
According to reports, Zziwa sustained physical injuries from the reenactment. He was attended to at the scene by responders from the Red Cross, who administered first aid.
He was subsequently transferred to Lamone Health Center for further medical treatment. His condition has not been publicly disclosed.
