Man Dies After Being Punched During Argument at Lagos Lounge
A tragic incident unfolded on May 6, 2025, at a lounge in the Ogidan Sangotedo area of Lagos, where a man lost his life following a dispute over right of way. The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the arrest of 46-year-old Philip Ogbuehi in connection with the fatal altercation.
According to police reports, the confrontation occurred around 8 p.m. during a heated argument between Ogbuehi and the deceased. Witnesses said the dispute escalated quickly, ending when Ogbuehi allegedly delivered a punch to the victim’s chest. The impact reportedly caused the man to collapse on the spot.
Efforts were made to rush the victim to a nearby hospital, but medical personnel later confirmed him dead. Authorities have yet to disclose the identity of the deceased as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
