Man Arrested in Anambra for Allegedly Killing Elder Brother Over Dispute
A man has been arrested in Anambra State for allegedly killing his elder brother during a dispute. Police operatives from the 3-3 Divisional Headquarters apprehended the suspect, identified as Christian Ndubuisi, on February 15.
According to preliminary reports, the disagreement between the two brothers escalated into a physical altercation, during which the suspect reportedly broke a bottle and used it to stab his elder brother. The victim was rushed to the hospital but was later confirmed dead by the attending doctor.
Reacting to the incident, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, described the case as a tragic reminder of the importance of conflict resolution and anger management. He expressed his sorrow over the situation, emphasizing how a minor disagreement had led to a fatal outcome.
CP Orutugu has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka for further investigation. He assured the public that justice will be served in the matter.
