Makinde’s 2027 Presidential Posters Surface Across Jigawa

Posters promoting Oyo State Governor, Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, as a potential presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections have begun appearing in major areas of Jigawa State. The campaign materials, bearing the logo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), were seen in prominent locations across Dutse, the state capital, igniting discussions about Makinde’s possible ambition for the presidency.

With bold slogans like *“To Move Nigeria Forward 2027: His Excellency Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde for President”* and *“2027: Seyi Makinde Is the Answer”*, the posters were strategically placed in high-traffic areas including Unity Pentagon, Police Headquarters Roundabout, Mai Kwarin Roundabout, Obasanjo Road, Muhammadu Buhari Street, Abdulsalami Abubakar Street, and Abdullahi Mai Kano Road.

Alhaji Lawal Abdullahi, National Secretary of the Nigeria Youths Awareness Group for Makinde 2027 (NYAG Makinde 2027), confirmed the poster campaign while speaking to journalists in Dutse. He described it as a coordinated mobilisation effort aimed at building early support for Makinde’s potential presidential bid.

“We have met as different groups and agreed to support Seyi Makinde for President in 2027. We are reaching out to various stakeholders to achieve this goal,” Abdullahi said. He also revealed that contact has already been established with key political figures across the country and that a broader outreach campaign is underway.

According to Abdullahi, additional materials will be distributed in other northern states, including Kano, Bauchi, Katsina, Borno, Yobe, and Gombe, in the coming week. He added that the campaign will soon expand to the southern region to build national momentum ahead of the 2027 elections.
