Atiku, Makinde Meet Babangida Behind Closed Doors in Minna
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Tuesday met privately with former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, at his Hilltop residence in Minna, Niger State.
Atiku arrived at Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna, at about 2:00 p.m. with a delegation that included Hassana Shuibu Dada, Assistant National Youth Leader (North Central) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He proceeded directly from the airport to Babangida’s residence.
Governor Makinde, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), arrived at the residence about 30 minutes later.
No official statement has been issued on the purpose of the visit. The meeting was held out of public view.
