Major Shakeup at FRSC as Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed Redeploys Senior Officers

In a strategic move aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved the redeployment of five senior officers within the organization.

The significant reshuffle involves three Assistant Corps Marshals (ACMs), one Corps Commander, and one Deputy Corps Commander, all of whom have been instructed to assume their new roles immediately.

In a statement, Corps Public Education Officer, Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide, highlighted that the redeployments align with the Corps Marshal’s policy to strategically reposition the FRSC for optimal performance and to facilitate the ease of operations.

 

The affected senior officers include:

 

ACM Jonas Agwu, the former Public Education Officer, who will now lead the Administration and Human Resources Department at the FRSC headquarters.

ACM Chidi B. Nkwonta, previously the Commandant of the FRSC Command and Staff College in Udi, Enugu State, who has been appointed as the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to the Corps Marshal.

Assistant Corps Marshal Hafeez Muhammed, now taking over as the Zonal Commanding Officer for Zone 7.

 

Additionally, Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide has been moved from Command Administration and Strategy in the Operations Department at the national headquarters to become the new Corps Public Education Officer. Deputy Corps Commander Wasiu Adenekan has been appointed as the Technical Advisor to the Corps Marshal and Head of the Corps Information Technology Office.

Corps Marshal Mohammed urged the redeployed officers to maintain their commitment and dedication, emphasizing their role in upholding the FRSC’s vision of making Nigerian roads safer for all motorists.

This reshuffle is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the Corps’ efficiency and operational capacity, ensuring that the FRSC continues to deliver on its mandate of road safety across Nigeria.
