Maiduguri Flood: Atiku Donates N100 Million to Borno Government for Victims’ Relief
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has donated N100 million to the Borno State government to support victims of the recent Alau Dam flood disaster. During a visit to Maiduguri on Sunday, Atiku expressed his condolences to the affected families and prayed for the recovery of those injured and the restoration of lost properties.
Atiku, while meeting with Governor Babagana Zulum, called on philanthropists and organizations to extend further support to the state to aid in the recovery efforts. He also emphasized the need for an investigation into the flood’s cause, advocating for preventive measures to avoid future disasters.
In addition, delegations from Yobe and Gombe states, also visiting to show solidarity, announced donations of N100 million each to assist in relief efforts.
