Plateau state governor, Simon Lalong and the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has been declared winner of Saturday’s gubernatorial poll in the state.
The state’s Returning Officer, Professor Richard Kimbir made the announcement at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Jos, the state capital earlier today. Kimbir, who is also the Vice Chancellor of Benue state University said Lalong polled 595,582 votes while Senator Jeremiah Useni of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), his closet challenger scored 546,813 votes.
