Lagos PDP commiserates with family and friends over the death of Chief Rasheed Alaba Williams.
The Chairman, People’s Democratic Party PDP Lagos State Chapter, Engr Adedeji Doherty and indeed the entire PDP family in Lagos State commiserate with the family, friends and associates of Chief Rasheed Alaba Williams, the Ajiroba of Lagos State who died early today at the age of 85years.
Chief Rasheed Williams was a former State Chairman of the Party between 2006 and 2007 and has since being a foremost elder in the party until his death.
He was the First President of Eko Club, he was a Patron, Chairman Board of Trustees, Chairman Guardian Council of Eko Club.
He was also an Insurance guru of note, as he was the Chairman and managing Director of Lambert Willis and Associates and Lombard lnsurance Company Limited, respectively.
He was also the Chairman of Pharmac Ltd.
The loss of Chief Rasheed Alaba Williams is huge at this point in time in the history of the party in Lagos State.
His elderly contributions to the party in all ramifications cannot be easily wished away.
He will be very dearly missed and unforgettable.
We are however consoled by the fact that whatever Allah gives and takes belong to Him and everything is also predestined by Him.
We pray that Allah grants him Jannatul Firdaus and forgive his sins.
We also pray that Allah would grant us all the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
His burial arrangements are as announced:
Lying in State at Blessings Hall, Eko Club at 3pm today and burial follows immediately at Vaults and Gardens Ikoyi, Lagos.
