Lagos PDP chides State Government over building collapse frequency
The Lagos State People’s Democratic Party hereby commiserate with the families of all those who lost their lives in the collapsed building in Obalende area of Lagos State.
We however, wish to state that these incidences are getting “one too many”.
The attendant loss of lives are unbearable and unacceptable.
We hereby state that, these are very strong indications that the state government has failed woefully in its bid to handle these unfortunate happenings.
We categorically state that these consistent occurrences are pointers to either the fact that the agencies involved in stemming this incidences are either compromised or that the owners of these buildings are somewhat more powerful than the government.
There have been so much “barking” by the government and evidently “No bite”.
It is a big pity that several lives are lost in these irresponsible and avoidable incidences.
The Lagos State PDP hereby harp on the fact that the state government has completely failed in their remote duty of protecting the lives and properties of its citizens.
We once again appeal to the concerned families to take heart, as it is our belief that God would grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, while also praying for quick recovery for all those injured.
