Lagos PDP chairman: 14 days after NCDC tested me, I had no result

The Lagos state PDP chairman has again expressed his concern over the state of preparedness of the NCDC and Lagos state government. He said this while speaking to Galaxy TV recently. The chairman noted a strange contradiction between the body language of the state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the results of the NCDC.

He wondered why the state government was suddenly insisting that all families with deceased loved ones in the mortuaries in the state claim the bodies and bury their loved ones within two weeks. He had also said failure to do that would result in mass burials for unclaimed corpses.

Doherty wondered why there would be such an urgency especially as the lockdown was still in place at the time if the numbers of those who had died from Covid19 in the state was just about 40.

Doherty was worried about the accuracy of the numbers shared daily by the NCDC. He disclosed that he too had gone to the CDC in Yaba to conduct a Covid19 test, and waited for 2 weeks but received no results. He wondered how many other people would have had similar experiences and continued life as normal assuming they were negative since no bad news came.

Doherty also used the opportunity to explain why he had setup a Covid19 relief effort in Lagos state and thanked all those who have contributed so far.
