Lagos PDP appoints “Ward Ambassadors”
The People’s Democratic Party(PDP) Lagos State Chapter, led by Engr Adedeji Doherty has appointed “Ward Ambassadors” in the five Local Government areas in Lagos East Senatorial District.
In his speech at the certificate presentation ceremony, the Chairman said the appointment was in recognition of the key roles played by the individuals during last primaries held in the Lagos East Senatorial District, which led to the emergence of Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi and Hon Ademola to Alebiosu as candidates for the Lagos East Senatorial District and Kosofe Constituency II House of Assembly bye elections respectively.
Engr Doherty said, “This is one of steps being taken by my administration to bring the grassroots directly in contact with the state exco”.
He further said, the respective Local Government excos were given the prerogative to nominate these persons for recognition based on their individual performances at their various wards.
While congratulating the recipients, Engr Doherty said in the event of relocation, the certificate they received could be taken to any state and the holder would be immediately integrated into the party in that state.
He further stated that this is just the initial stage, as more persons would still be recognized based on performance in the nearest future.
He however assured that the recognition would soon be extended to both the Lagos Central and the Lagos West Senatorial Districts.
