Lady Accused of Giving False Testimony at Dunamis International Gospel Centre Breaks Silence

Anyim Veronica Nnenna, the woman accused of giving a false testimony at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, has spoken out for the first time since the incident on Sunday, April 14.

Nnenna, a church member, was publicly accused of dishonesty by the church’s Senior Pastor, Paul Enenche, during the testimony session. A video that circulated on social media shows Nnenna on the pulpit, sharing her success in graduating with a law degree from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) on April 13.

As Nnenna described how she was the first in her family to graduate and received a degree in law, Pastor Enenche questioned her qualifications. When Nnenna said she had a “BSc in Law,” the pastor accused her of lying and halted the testimony.

In response, Nnenna took to her Facebook page on Monday, April 15, to express her distress at being publicly shamed by her spiritual leader for mistakenly saying “BSc” instead of “LLB.” She explained that she struggled with English and that she had earned a third-class degree from NOUN.

Nnenna also mentioned that she felt humiliated and disheartened by the incident. She shared, “The rejected stone can become the cornerstone. We’re reminded not to look down on anyone.” She expressed her disappointment with her treatment during the service and her sense of betrayal by the church.

In another post, Nnenna stated, “The Devil came to steal my testimony, but Jesus said NO!”

The incident has sparked a heated debate on social media, with some Nigerians demanding an apology from Pastor Enenche for accusing Nnenna of providing a fake testimony.
