Kwara State University Disowns Missing Individual
The administration of Kwara State University, Malete, has officially disowned a 24-year-old man reported missing and claimed to be a student of the institution.
According to a statement released by Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, the Acting Director of University Relations, on Thursday, the University clarified that AbdulMueez Olamilekan Jimoh is not affiliated with Kwara State University, Malete.
The statement revealed, “Records in the University show that AbdulMueez Olamilekan Jimoh stopped paying school fees and ceased registering for courses since the 2021/2022 session, a period when he should have been in his 2nd year of study. This failure to meet financial obligations and register for courses without proper approval constitutes voluntary withdrawal from the University.”
The management emphasized that the missing individual is not currently enrolled in Kwara State University, Malete, and stated, “It is worthy of mention that the Nigeria Police is working actively to find him.”
This announcement comes in response to various social media, blog, and newspaper posts circulating information about AbdulMueez Olamilekan Jimoh’s disappearance after reportedly leaving Malete for Ilorin on Thursday, February 15, 2024. The University’s clarification aims to address any misinformation and establish the accurate status of the individual in question.
