Final-Year Student Dies in Road Crash While Rushing to Exam Hall After Forgetting ID Card
A final-year student of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Idris Aremu Agboluaje, has died in a road crash while attempting to retrieve his student identity card ahead of an examination.
Eyewitnesses said the 400-level Business Education student was denied entry into the examination hall because he did not have his ID card. He reportedly rushed back toward the school gate to get the card so he could return in time for the exam.
During the attempt, he was involved in a crash that proved fatal.
The Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), KWASU chapter, described the incident as a painful loss to the department.
“Our hearts go out to his parents, family members, friends, and classmates during this difficult time,” the association said in a statement.
As of the time of filing this report, the management of Kwara State University had not issued an official statement on the incident.
