Kogi West: INEC Declares Rerun Poll Inconclusive
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Kogi West Senatorial District rerun poll inconclusive.
INEC on Sunday said it will announce a new date for a supplementary election following the cancellation of votes in many polling units and wards.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Smart Adeyemi polled a total of 80,118 votes while the Kogi West Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Dino Melaye, scored 59,548 votes but the number of cancelled votes exceeds the margin of win.
