Kano PDP crisis deepens ahead of LG elections
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kano State appears to have been torn apart by the forthcoming Local Council Election scheduled for 16th January 2021.
A chieftain of the party, Danyaro Yakasai, said the PDP will not participate in the election that is designed to achieve a pre-determined result.
This is as the Aminu Wali led faction of the party looks set to field candidates for the election.
Danyaro Yakasai belongs to the Kwankwwsiya faction of the party that is presently engulfed in internal crisis with the Aminu Wali led faction.

He said the PDP has lost confidence in the APC government let alone organise credible Local Council Elections in the State.
Danyaro said the N2.8 billion given to the Kano Independent Electoral Commission, KANSIEC, is meant to compromise the election.
