Kaduna Governor Receives Eze Enyi N’digbo Title, Announces New Igbo Spare Parts Market Development

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has announced the allocation of land for a new Igbo-dedicated spare parts market following his recent conferment of the Eze Enyi N’digbo title, meaning “Friend of the Igbo People.” The title was awarded to him during the 2024 Igbo Cultural Day celebration in Kaduna, marking his administration’s commitment to inclusivity and economic support for the Igbo community.

The land allocation, which will be facilitated through the Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS), highlights the state’s ongoing partnership with Igbo entrepreneurs and industrialists. Governor Sani stated that plans for the project are underway, with paperwork in progress, and pledged to personally oversee the market’s groundbreaking ceremony.

“Kaduna State is home to the Igbo people,” Governor Sani emphasized, recognizing the Igbo community’s industriousness and contributions to the state’s development. He praised their resilience and resourcefulness, stating that his administration is ready to support Igbo businesses with attractive incentives that encourage investment.

Governor Sani also noted the Kaduna government’s broader economic goals, aimed at reinforcing Kaduna’s position as a top investment hub. “Our focus is on attracting investments across multiple sectors, creating jobs, and enhancing skills transfer for an employable, skilled workforce,” he added.

Chief Francis Uchenna Ani, President-General of the Igbo Community Welfare Association, lauded the governor’s inclusive policies and commitment to development across Kaduna’s diverse communities, citing recent infrastructural improvements and increased social harmony under his leadership.

Additionally, Governor Sani gifted a bus to the Igbo community and acknowledged their restraint in abstaining from recent nationwide protests. He also highlighted his respect for the Igbo by noting the inclusion of five Igbo citizens within his administration.
