Juventus Sacks Sarri after just one season
Juventus FC have sacked Maurizio Sarri as manager after just one season.
Sarri had guided Juventus to a ninth straight Serie A title but were knocked out of the Champions League by Lyon at the last-16 stage.
Juventus had beaten Lyon 2-1 in Turin yesterday but the French side progressed on the away goals rule.
Italian Sarri, 61, was appointed by Juventus on a three year contract last summer from Chelsea where he had also spent just one year.
The major clause in Sarri’s Juventus contract was to win the Champions league. He has however failed by the standards of the club.
