JUST IN: Wike Revokes PDP Secretariat Land Days After Party Rejects His South-South Congress
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has revoked the land allocated to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for its new national secretariat in Abuja’s Central Area, just days after the party rejected his controversial South-South Zonal Congress held in Calabar.
In a statement on Tuesday, the FCT Administration cited “inconsistent documentation and non-compliance with regulatory procedures” as reasons for the revocation. However, PDP sources allege the move is politically motivated and linked to the party’s dismissal of the congress as illegal and stage-managed.
The PDP has vowed to challenge the decision in court, describing it as a targeted attack by Wike, whom many within the party accuse of working against its interest while serving under an APC-led federal government.
