JUST IN: Trump Threatens Military Action Against Nigeria Over Killings of Christians
U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to the Nigerian government, threatening to halt all American aid and potentially launch military action if what he describes as the ongoing killing of Christians in Nigeria continues.
In a post made on his Truth Social account on Saturday, November 1, Trump accused the Nigerian government of failing to stop attacks on Christians and vowed a strong response if the situation persists.
“If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,” Trump wrote.
He added that he has instructed the “Department of War” to prepare for possible action, warning that any response would be “fast, vicious, and sweet.”
The post quickly went viral, drawing both support and condemnation online. It comes just a day after Trump redesignated Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” over alleged persecution of Christians.
