The Enugu State Governorship Election Tribunal has officially ruled in favour of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, dismissing all allegations brought forth by the Edeoga/Labour Party camp.
The tribunal’s verdict came down strongly in support of Governor Mbah, declaring that he was rightfully elected as governor by the majority of lawful and valid votes cast during the election. Allegations of over-voting and the bypassing of BVAS were categorically struck down, reaffirming the legitimacy of his election.
Furthermore, the tribunal decisively rejected the claims that Governor Peter Mbah’s NYSC discharge certificate was forged. In a significant revelation, it was established that Dr. Peter Mbah did not submit his NYSC certificate to INEC as part of his qualification to contest for the office of governor. This is because he was already qualified without the need for an NYSC certificate.
In a critical blow to the Edeoga/LP camp, the tribunal also dismissed their witnesses, ruling that the LP governorship candidate failed to present any admissible evidence to support the allegation that Dr. Mbah’s certificate was forged.
This landmark ruling by the tribunal solidifies Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s position as the duly elected governor and clears any doubts surrounding the authenticity of his qualifications.
