JUST IN: Tinubu Appoints New Director-General and Executive Team for NTA
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved new leadership appointments for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the country’s leading state-owned broadcaster. Rotimi Pedro from the South-West has been named the new Director-General of the Authority, according to a statement issued Friday by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The new management team also includes Karimah Bello from the North-West as Executive Director, Marketing; Stella Din Jacob from the North-Central as Executive Director, News; and Sophia Essahmed from the North-East as Managing Director of NTA Enterprises Limited.
President Tinubu charged the new appointees to foster teamwork and innovation in their roles, emphasizing the need to reposition and revitalize the NTA to ensure effective service delivery in Nigeria’s evolving media landscape. The statement noted that the leadership team is expected to infuse fresh ideas into the Agency to enhance its operational efficiency and public engagement.
