JUST IN: South-East Governors, Stakeholders in Closed-door Meeting in Enugu
The governors of Nigeria’s South-East region and key stakeholders, including the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, gathered at the Government House in Enugu for a pivotal closed-door meeting on Tuesday.
The meeting saw the attendance of all South-East governors: Alex Otti of Abia, Hope Uzodimma of Imo, Charles Soludo of Anambra, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, and the host governor, Peter Mbah of Enugu.
While the agenda was not disclosed to the press, sources suggest the discussions likely centered on the ongoing security challenges in the region, including issues related to Nnamdi Kanu and broader concerns affecting the South-East.
More details are expected to emerge following the conclusion of the meeting.
