JUST IN: President Tinubu Appoints New Heads for Key Humanitarian Agencies (Full List)
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of seven distinguished individuals to lead various agencies and programs under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development. This decision aims to ensure that relief and support reach Nigerians, especially the vulnerable, more efficiently.
Appointments Overview:
Dr. Badamasi Lawal – Chief Executive Officer, National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA)
Background: Holds a doctorate in education and has served as a commissioner in Katsina State.
Ms. Funmilola Olotu – Programme Manager, National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office
Background: Possesses a master’s degree in business administration and is the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on state lotteries.
Ms. Aishat Alubankudi – Programme Manager, Grant for Vulnerable Groups
Background: Holds a bachelor’s degree in community development with experience as a risk assessor and financial manager.
Princess Aderemi Adebowale – Programme Manager, Home Grown School Feeding
Background: Holds a doctorate and serves as the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Civic Engagement. She has also been a local government chairperson.
Mr. Abdullahi Alhassan Imam – Programme Manager, National Cash Transfer Office
Background: Holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and has experience as chief accountant at Northern Dairies Ltd, and as a bank manager.
Mr. Ayuba Gufwan – Executive Secretary, National Commission for People with Disabilities
Background: Holds an LLB and is the executive director of the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre in Jos.
Ms. Lami Binta Adamu Bello – Director General, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons
Background: Holds a master’s degree in public administration and has served as Secretary-General of ALGON, and Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministries of Health and Women Affairs and Social Development.
President Tinubu has tasked these new leaders with executing their duties with the highest standards of integrity and diligence to ensure that the benefits of his administration’s welfare programs are directly felt by those in need.
