JUST IN: Plane Crash Leaves 62 Feared Dead
A tragic plane crash in the Brazilian state of São Paulo has left 62 people feared dead, according to local reports. The incident occurred Friday evening when a twin-engine turboprop aircraft, operated by Voepass, crashed in the town of Vinhedo. The plane was en route from Cascavel, in Paraná, to São Paulo’s main airport.
The aircraft was carrying 58 passengers and four crew members when it went down. Dramatic footage circulating on social media shows the plane spiraling out of control before descending vertically to the ground.
Voepass airline has not yet confirmed the status of those on board or provided details about the cause of the crash.
