JUST IN: PDP NWC Suspends National Publicity Secretary, Legal Adviser, Launches Investigation

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, and National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade, SAN. This decision was made following the NWC’s 593rd meeting held on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

In a statement released by the National Director of Publicity, Adm. Chinwe I. Nnorom, the NWC announced that it has set up an investigation committee to look into allegations raised against the two officers. The committee, chaired by Deputy National Chairman (South), H.E. Amb. Taofeek Arapaja, will conduct the investigation in line with the party’s constitutional provisions.

In the meantime, the NWC has directed the deputies of the suspended officials to take over their duties in acting capacities. Ibrahim Abdullahi Manga, Esq. has been appointed as the Acting National Publicity Secretary, while Barr. Okechukwu Osuoha will serve as the Acting National Legal Adviser, both effective from Friday, October 11, 2024.
