JUST IN: NFF Appoints New Super Eagles Head Coach
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially announced the appointment of German coach Bruno Labbadia as the new head coach of the Super Eagles. The news was confirmed in a statement released early Tuesday morning via the NFF’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, @thenff.
The announcement read: “The Nigeria Football Federation has reached an agreement with German tactician Bruno Labbadia to become the Head Coach of Nigeria’s senior men’s national team, the Super Eagles.”
NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, confirmed that Labbadia’s appointment was approved by the NFF Executive Committee following a recommendation from the federation’s Technical and Development sub-committee.
Labbadia steps in as the 37th head coach of the Super Eagles, succeeding Finidi George, who recently resigned from the position.
