JUST IN: JAMB Releases 2025 UTME Results, Withholds Nearly 40,000 Over Malpractice
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). In an announcement made on Friday, the board revealed that results for 39,834 candidates have been withheld due to suspected involvement in examination malpractice.
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed that 80 individuals are currently under investigation for various exam-related offences. Anambra State recorded the highest number of suspects, with 14 individuals being probed.
During the announcement, Prof. Oloyede also noted that 467 underage candidates managed to score above the minimum benchmark, while 50 others were found to have participated in fraudulent activities during the exam process.
A press briefing is currently ongoing to address these developments, with further details expected to follow.
