JUST IN: Iran Strikes Israel in Retaliation
Iran has launched a retaliatory attack on Israel, deploying drones and missiles in what is perceived as a direct response to the April 1st assault on the Iranian embassy in Syria, resulting in the deaths of seven Iranian military personnel.
The assault, executed by Israel, has escalated tensions in the region, prompting concerns of a larger-scale conflict. Prior to the attack, the United States had cautioned of the potential for a significant Iranian retaliation, citing intelligence indicating the possibility of over 100 drones and numerous missiles targeting Israeli military installations.
In light of the escalating situation, the US State Department has issued a travel advisory to Americans within Israel, urging them to remain within major urban areas to benefit from the protection offered by the Dome missile defense system.
