JUST IN: House of Reps Ends Plenary Without Addressing Rivers Emergency Declaration
The House of Representatives concluded its plenary session on Wednesday without any mention of the state of emergency declared in Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu.
President Tinubu made the declaration on Tuesday in response to the deepening political crisis in the oil-rich South-South state, which has seen escalating tensions in recent weeks. Despite the gravity of the situation and the significance of the presidential move, lawmakers in the lower chamber did not address the matter during their proceedings.
