JUST IN: Fresh Protests Erupt in Suleja Near Abuja, Denouncing Hardships Under Tinubu Administration

In a renewed wave of public discontent, hundreds of residents in Suleja, the commercial hub of Niger State, situated just a stone’s throw away from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, took to the streets on Wednesday. Expressing frustration over economic hardships and escalating inflation, the protesters demanded urgent action from the government led by President Bola Tinubu.

Photographs circulating online captured the intensity of the demonstration, where men, women, and youths voiced their concerns about the daily struggles imposed by the prevailing economic challenges. Witnesses on the ground reported the participants urging Tinubu to address the pressing issues affecting the masses.

Videos from the Suleja protests showcased road blockades and impassioned chants, emphasizing the lack of government intervention in alleviating the soaring costs of essential commodities.

Despite the visible unrest, security agents, including policemen, maintained a watchful eye on the situation. Notably, the protesters echoed their frustration, asserting that the government’s response to the escalating cost of food items has been inadequate.

He assured the protesters that the government was actively working on measures to mitigate the cost of living and the economic ramifications of the recently implemented petrol subsidy removal.
