JUST IN: Edo Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, Begs Obaseki for Forgiveness, Seeks Reconciliation
The rift between Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu, may be on the verge of resolution. Earlier today, Deputy Governor Shaibu, amidst a press conference at his residence, made a heartfelt plea for forgiveness from Governor Obaseki.
Shaibu, still addressing reporters at the time of this report, earnestly implored Governor Obaseki to rise above their political differences and find it within himself to grant forgiveness.
This plea comes on the heels of Shaibu’s recent relocation from his former office in the Government House to a newly allocated office on No. 7, Dennis Osadebey Avenue, Benin City, this past Monday.
