JUST IN: Court of Appeal Annuls Election of Adamawa Senator Elisha Abbo

The Court of Appeal, sitting in Abuja, has overturned the election victory of Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo, who gained notoriety as the “Sex Toy Lover Senator.” Abbo, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had been declared the winner of the March 25th National Assembly election to represent the Adamawa Northern Senatorial District.

The Court’s verdict, delivered on Monday, has sent shockwaves through the political landscape. It ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to revoke the Certificate of Return issued to Senator Abbo and reissue it to Rev. Amos Yohanna Kumai, a candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator Abbo reacted to the judgment on his official Facebook page, stating, “The Court of Appeal in Abuja has just invalidated my election. The coalition against me has temporarily succeeded. I will soon address the press.”

Elisha Abbo gained notoriety and widespread public outrage when a video surfaced showing him brutally assaulting a nursing mother at an Abuja sex toy shop.
