JUST IN: Bandits Abduct Family of Three, Injure One in Abuja Attack
Suspected kidnappers have struck again in Abuja, abducting a man, his wife, and their son in the Chikakore area of Kubwa, Bwari Area Council. The attack, which occurred around midnight on Monday, also saw the abduction of the man’s elder brother and another resident.
Eyewitnesses report that about 30 armed men stormed the community, heading straight to the home of Adefija Michael Akinropo, where they forcibly took him, his wife, and their son. They also kidnapped his elder brother before moving to another building housing a poultry farm, where they seized another victim and injured his wife.
Police officers from Byazin station have since visited the scene, though the kidnappers have yet to make contact with the victims’ families.
When reached for comment, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Josephine Adeh, said she was on her way to the office and promised to provide an update. However, she had yet to respond at the time of filing this report.
