INEC Declares Gov Bala Mohammed Winner Of Bauchi Guber Election
INEC has declared Governor Bala Mohammed of PDP the winner of the March 18 governorship election in Bauchi.
INEC returning officer Abdulkareem Sabo Muhammad, the vice-chancellor of the Federal University Dutse, announced the results at the end of the collation on Monday.
Mr Mohammed defeated his closest rival, Sadiq Abubakar of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The incumbent governor had 525,280 while Mr Abubakar polled 432,272.
The PDP candidate and the incumbent governor won in Shira, Zaki, Dambam, Tafawa Balewa, Toro, Ganjuwa, Bogoro, Itas Gadau, Ningi, Jama’are, Warji, Alkaleri, Kirfi, and Dass LGAs.
The APC candidate won in Misau, Katagum, Gamawa, Darazo, and Giade local government areas.
