IGP orders investigation into singer Portable’s claim of forming notorious cult groups
The Inspector General of Police Alkali Baba Usman, has ordered an investigation into the claims made by singer Portable that he was the founder of the notorious cult groups, One-Million Boys and Ajah boys, that were reported at some point to have terrorised some parts of Lagos State.
The IGP in a statement released by the spokesman of the Police force CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, ordered the Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Biodun Alabi, to investigate Portable’s statement.
The statement had it that, the directive is premised on the continuous effort of the Nigeria Police Force to fish out pillars and sponsors of cult groups in order to decimate their activities and restore sanity to our society.
It would be recalled that Portable had made the claim that he was the founder of the “cult groups” in a video that went viral.
The video has since been deleted.
