How Groom-to-be, Best Man Died in Car Crash on Wedding Eve

A 34-year-old groom-to-be, identified as Bosun, and his best man have met a tragic end on the eve of what should have been a joyous occasion. The devastating incident unfolded on the eve of Bosun’s wedding, casting a pall of grief over his family and friends.

The ill-fated journey took place on Idi-Ape Road, as the groom and his best man were returning from Bosun’s bachelor’s eve party. Tragically, two other individuals, close friends of the groom, also lost their lives in the same harrowing auto crash. This dreadful accident occurred in close proximity to Bova’s Petrol Station, Olowotinfowosanu Shopping Complex, Ibadan.

Bosun, a 34-year-old who had been eagerly preparing for his wedding day, was employed at a multinational firm in Nigeria. His wedding, scheduled for Saturday, September 30, was meant to be a day of celebration, but destiny had other plans, as he tragically lost his life on Friday, September 29.

Reports indicate that the groom was traveling in a Highlander SUV, with his best man following closely in a Toyota Camry, when the unthinkable happened. Their vehicles collided with a trailer that was in the process of unloading cargo, leading to the devastating crash. Eyewitnesses recount that the accident unfolded around 11 p.m. on that fateful night.

The aftermath of the accident saw the lifeless body of the groom, Bosun, being taken to Molly Hospital in Ibadan, where it currently rests as his family and loved ones grapple with the immense loss.

In the wake of this tragedy, a close friend of the deceased, Sesan, expressed his grief and condolences on Facebook, writing, “This is too sad to bear. Rest in peace, Bosun.”

The entire community is left in shock and mourning, as they come to terms with the untimely loss of these young lives. The upcoming wedding, once filled with joyous anticipation, has now transformed into a somber occasion of remembrance and grief.
