Hisbah: Jigawa Commissioner Denies Allegations of Illicit Affair in Uncompleted Building
The Commissioner for Special Duties in Jigawa State, Auwal Danladi Sankara, has strongly denied allegations made by the Kano State Hisbah Command, which claimed he was caught in an illicit affair with a married woman in an uncompleted building.
Reports of the alleged incident quickly spread across various media platforms, sparking controversy and public debate. However, in a swift response, Commissioner Sankara issued a formal statement refuting the claims, calling them a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation.
“My attention has been drawn to a recent media report alleging that I, Auwal D. Sankara, Commissioner for Special Duties in the Jigawa State Government, have been arrested by the Kano Hisbah Command on charges of having an affair with a married woman,” he stated.
Sankara categorically dismissed the allegations as “false, baseless, and malicious,” asserting that they were fabricated by political opponents intent on damaging his character. “I urge the general public to disregard this fabricated story,” he said, emphasizing his respect for the institution of marriage as a married man himself.
He further announced his intention to take legal action against those responsible for the accusations, stating that he remains committed to defending his integrity and upholding the values he stands for.
Despite his denial, the Kano State Hisbah Command maintains that Sankara was arrested in an uncompleted building, allegedly belonging to him, along with a married woman under suspicious circumstances.
