Heavy Security Presence as Supreme Court Deliberates President Tinubu’s Fate, Restricting Access for Media, Legal Professionals

This landmark judgment has prompted a significant increase in security measures, impacting the accessibility of lawyers and journalists covering the proceedings.

This heightened security posture has not only affected individuals attempting to attend the proceedings but has also led to temporary road closures near the Federal Secretariat and Force Headquarters, further preventing human and vehicular movements in the vicinity. As the nation awaits the Supreme Court’s judgment on the presidential election, the increased security measures and restrictions demonstrate the gravity and significance of this moment in Nigeria’s political landscape.
