Hamas Rejects Trump’s Proposal to Relocate Palestinians
Hamas has rejected a proposal by U.S. President Donald Trump to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan, calling it an “aggressive scheme” that seeks to displace Palestinians and undermine their national cause.
In a statement on Monday, Hamas condemned the plan, emphasizing that Palestinians, particularly those in northern Gaza who have faced forced displacement and violence, remain steadfast in their commitment to their homeland and historical rights.
“The Palestinians would not accept any plan that seeks to uproot or displace them,” the statement read.
The group also urged the U.S. administration to end its support for Israeli policies that, in their view, violate Palestinian rights. Additionally, Hamas called on Arab and Islamic nations, especially Egypt and Jordan, to reaffirm their opposition to Palestinian displacement and instead support efforts to rebuild Gaza and strengthen Palestinian presence in the region.
