Governors Mbah, Fubara, Bala Mohammed Lead PDP Governors’ Forum Meeting in Enugu

Thirteen governors elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) banner have gathered in Enugu for a pivotal meeting of the PDP Governors’ Forum. The meeting, hosted at the Government House by Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Mbah, is set to take place on Wednesday.

The forum’s Chairman and Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, was among the first to arrive. He was joined by Governors Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Umo Eno (Akwa-Ibom), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Agbu Kefas (Taraba), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), and Ahmed Fintiri (Adamawa). Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, were expected to arrive later.

While the official agenda remains undisclosed, it is anticipated that the governors will address upcoming party congresses, the Edo and Ondo governorship elections, internal party challenges, and broader national issues.

Established on February 24, 2013, during former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, the PDP Governors’ Forum provides a platform for the party’s governors to exchange ideas and coordinate policies across their states.

To mark the occasion, Governor Mbah organized a cultural night on Tuesday, offering a warm welcome to the visiting governors.
